Big Pleasure Bus love to the Here Gallery

We love this place. Loads of arty goodness everywhere. Smashing folk too. The Here gallery is based in Stokes Croft, just outside Bristol. It reminds us of Dalston, a bit ghetto, but mostly thriving with good stuff. There's a fantastic arty vibe there, and the gallery is hubbing the action. We could have spent a small fortune in there, but the bus just can't take it. N1ce ben & crew. Hopefully see you over the weekend yeh?

Big thanks to Paul Witt form the art market, who's been a total star.
Come on Bristol, let's see you.

Ltd edition art prints from £20-50, t-shirts from £15 and postcards galore. Come snaffle.

Good Eh?

I went for a run in Braunton, the home of egg. I think I bit off a bit too much and ended up doing half a marathon. Check the flickr to see my discoveries. Nice bit of cheeky stickering above. Love it.

Blogging in a Bus

Yeh, you might think that this is a jolly holiday rather than a serious art gallery, judging from our promotional pics (ie night's on the lash sticking bees to knees), but we are working. It's like going back to Dial up in most of the places we camp. But we'll take that, cos we get to do BBQ's, play footy & doodle in fields. Nicely.

We've kidnapped Cliff.

Yes Cliff has been captured by the Pleasure Bus. He tried to resist, but we lured him in with wimbledon strawberries and cream. Wish he'd stop singing "we're all going on a summer holiday" though. he's like a broken record. More "Devil Woman" Cliff. Sort it out Richards.

We have light!

But now we also have moths. Don't like moth's much. They're like some sort of winged cockroach, indestructable and minging to look at.

Yes me picked up the lovely Jenny on our way to braunton. Apparently Jenny's planning to drive to Sri Lanka in a Morris Minor. good luck to her on that one. Maybe that's the next Pleasure Bus mission? Who knows eh?

T's

The T's are going down a storm. We'll keep posting up new pics of the t'shirts on offer & if you fancy any of them they'll be available from an online store sooner or later. Also if you're interested in stocking them get in touch. Fraid the one's were selling are ltd editions of 25, so you'll have to be quick to bag em. Again, Much love to Adlai, Andy and Drunk Cow for printing them.

Hello Newquay

Well we had a most lovely time in Newquay. We parked up at the Killa Court, after a bit of a lesson in driving on grass from our neighbouring stall holder Anne. Apparently you shouldn't rev it on wet grass.

We rubbed shoulders with the doughnut makers, hooker duckers, bouncey castles and the tented entertainment. Sweet. But slightly odd.

The weather was glorious, so most people went to the beach...

...but those who popped by and had a gander made our days.

This was the PB home for three days; friday, saturday, and sunday. We were mean't to be there on Bank Holiday Monday, but we gave everyone the day off.

Much love goes to Steph & BobBob who came all the way from smokey town to support the tour, and help us stick lots of bees knees to the nice people we met in Newquay.

Our Pleasure Bus promotions went down a storm, and atleast 4 people popped by the next day. Result eh?

Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon
Come on Bank Holiday Weekend!

St Ives Cancelled

We really enjoyed St Ives.

But due to adverse weather condition, St Ives was cancelled.

So we went to Lands End, Marazion, Morrisons and B&Q. Twas a good day.

Eden

The Pleasure Bus Tour got back on schedule. We'd missed our Monkey World expedition, due to clutch reasons, but we hit the Eden Project and enjoyed some plantage. It were great.

Apologies...

If you are on this site because you've been stuck behind us doing 35mph, and are spitting feather at the "pleasurebustour", then apologies. The van can't go fast as you're probably aware. It's a bit like a tractor. It likes slow. sorry.

If you are here because you've seen the van's website, then have a gander. We're not all bad.

Download this music. It's All Good.

A1 Clutches

This is Rob, from A1 Clutches, on the phone he'd said he could sort our clutch no problems. The Question, can we kip in the van outside your garage foxed him a little more but the man he said why not! Top lad.

Having camped in the van on A1's forecourt, complete with extensive views over the Blanford Rd Industrial estate and the back of Travis Perkins, we were mighty pleased to see Anne the receptionist knocking at the campervan doors with a tray of teas and scrambled egg sandwiches. Rob then gave us lift to his marina club and we enjoyed power showers. Best Campsite yet, we might be back! We had a little company outing back to Bournemouth whilst Rob and the Boys got to work on the clutch.

By 2:34pm we'd had the phone call from Anne, the Pleasure Bus was waiting to be collected. Woop Woop those guys have lightening fingers. Rob lines up the class photo..

Bingo! Here's the team at A1 clutches with the Pleaure Bus and crew. Thanks guys.

Pleasure Bus sick

This is us on some bikes we borrowed from our campsite owners. Nick rode the pink one and I had the childs bike. We went to see Lovell & Barnes, to fix the clutch cables. We visited him in the van later and he said we didn't need a new clutch cable, but a new clutch. Not good.

We set off and within 200 yards the clutch had gone. Not good.

All good. We got picked up by Mike the recovery chap. Nick had nipped back to Lovell & barnes, and the mechanic had rung his mate rob, who said they could get it sorted. Brilliant.

This is Mike. Nice one Mike.

East Creech

We stopped at East creech Farm Campsite, which was brilliant. we went rambling to the pub over a massive hill, and found this rural graffiti

Meet Trisha & Sarah. We met These lovely ladies in a the New Inn over a big hill and windy road. We ate fish pie and chatted like monkeys. We talked about slugs, Zelda, the fact that we'd once met Trisha before at Uni, and she'd made us do all sorts of strange and interesting things. We discovered they were sisters, a really good laugh, and on their own road trip (the wiggly way round)

Big Up Bournemouth

Well it was our first day of setting up the van and what a lovely day to start. There was sun above, South American pan pipe indians opposite - they were the bees knees, and a cracking set of Bourne-Mouthers who took to us like juice to water, lovin you guy's!!

We picked up our first client too!! Jorassic Park, 120 acres of fun and frollics for adventurous kiddies, T-Rex's and all those other sauruses...brilliant eh?

If you're ever in town check out Shakeaway, 1 large bounty and 1 large lion bar shake for us two, what'll it be for you?

Bournemouth lovin you, hope to see you again soon.
Click to see all the fun.

Lee

Lee is the man. We met Lee at a service station on the A35 going towards our campsite in finney brook. I was struggling to get the van into any form of gear, as the clutch was done. As we stopped I heard him chat to his mate about how we were driving a bedford and how you don't see them any more. In a matter of five seconds I disovered he was a mechanic on his holidays, he mainly does body work and that he'd be willing to look at it.

Top man, he fixed our clutch with some pliers and a size 11 spanner and advised us to get a new clutch cable asap. Lee justly won 5 Corona Beers, A Hide & Seek T-shirt and a lift up the road with his mate to the campsite. N1ce Fella.

Brighton Big Time

We we're very pleased to see friends, lovers, brothers and mothers join us in Brighton, on what turned out to be a sunny lovely day. We'd had warning about the weather from various grumble monkeys, but we stuck with it and are greatful for the sunshine and having lots of nice people around us. Nicola, Kirsten, Always hard to say goodbye. Bertrand Cararra, our French Super star seamster and Tarnie. Big thanks for letting us take your wonderful cute crew with us. They're brilliant. We love Mr Pickle, John McEnroe, Ninja and Dr Dribble.

Whilst sticking bees to knees we did have chance to catch up with friends and take in a bit of Brighton sights. A few things stick with me. A baptism in the sea, chinooks and spitfires flying by and a Stag wearing a giant nappy with it taped up so he couldn't number 1 or number 2. Dirty.

We loved Brighton, It was a joy to see our lovers and friends. Hopefully we'll have more days like this. Click here to see more pics from the day
