Progress at the Pleasure Bus HQ

We're busy beavering away in our HQ Water tightening the Tour plans and putting the final touches to the gallery artwork, which will be exclusively available on The Pleasure Bus Tour (along with work from some super special guest artists).

Test Mission

Initially we'd tossed around the idea of going to Margate or Southend to have a day out, but we realised we'd only be in the arcades losing pockets of 2p's. So we went to Comberton to plan the Pleasure Bus Tour (dates, places, prints and all that jazz).

We met Bev (above) & Kev (who likes to dress up as a storm trooper), a lovely couple from Belgium who tried to swap their state of the art VW campervan for our mobile art gallery (no way Jose!). As well as getting lots of work done, we discovered our mutual dislike of cauliflower & also had time to measure up a bandana for the Bus.

The History of The Pleasure Bus

We love our big gold Pleasure Bus (a Bedford CF Campervan) and we hope you will too. Here's a little bit of history about the Pleasure Bus...

It all began in Croatia, I was on my jolly's with my folks and had suddenly become fascinated with the cars in Croatia. I think I was brooding for some wheels, much like Ladies get broody for bambino's.

I txt Nick, my partner in crime "I think we need a pleasure mobile, what do you reckon?" Within minutes he was on Ebay, scanning the Campervan section. To put it bluntly Nick was Keen as Mustard.

And so the search for a Pleasure Mobile began. After scouring the ebay we first visited Princes Risborough. The Van didn't start, we left disappointed.

The next day Nick found our Bedford CF on Ebay. We fell in love with it online and bought it. Problem was, it was in Wales and we didn't know if it would start, let alone drive all the way back to London. We hired a car and embraced potential failure. We snaked our way through beautiful Welsh Countryside upto the most northern tip of Anglesey. Picked it up, excitedly drove it away, camped over night overlooking the Irish Sea, and waking up in each other's armpits, then drove it back to London the next day. A brilliant, stupid adventure, that paid off in the end.

The Pleasure Bus has since been on various adventures, had various additions and cosmetic works. We've made friends with our local mechanic Mina, at Park View motors in Dalston and Nick has become something of an expert in all things Bedford (Big thankyou to the Bedford forum).

It's an absolute joy to drive. Yes it's not the quickest thing, but I like that. It's relaxing and enjoyable. Hopefully you'll find out, as we take you on Tour around Britain. If you're in the areas we're visiting & you need a lift let us know. There might well be room for you.
